Finally, after a several false starts, the application to retain the existing composting facility, access and increase in throughput is back on the table again, with revised traffic figures.
Whilst composting appears to be inherently a good thing, this application does require the temporary bridge over the railway line to be retained indefinitely. The bridge was always supposed to be temporary to avoid industrial encroachment around the base of High Hills and towards Upper and Lower Pavenhill. Thus, this application has some serious sustainability issues as it makes incremental countryside development much more likely.
