Land at Pavenhill ~ further information

We now understand that a key issue is the five year housing land supply which is to be tested during a public hearing. A five year housing land supply means Wiltshire Council has to have enough sites ready for development to meet the identified housing need for the next five years. The current position on housing land supply is quite good though if an upcoming decision on another location in Wiltshire (Forest Farm) also adds to the supply then that makes the case for Pavenhill very weak. The announcement for Forest Farm will be later this month. Also, by August we hope the neighbourhood plan should carry more significance.

All residents who objected should be notified of the date (which we now think is 22 August) the place for the hearing and the procedure for any further comments. It is anticipated that the hearing will be one day though may overrun into a second.
