The Inquiry took place as planned, though by lunchtime of the first day, all those who wished to speak had done so and both sides had presented their summing-up to the inspector. As usual, it is a difficult thing to call, though the case for the footpath seemed to be well made, and the long-standing use of the existing track documented and verified by personal testimony.
We now await the inspector’s verdict (usually takes a few months).
