Bradley’s Meadow ~ Public Inquiry

The date for the public inquiry into the application for a further fifty houses on Bradley’s Meadow near Moredon Bridge has been set for 12 March 2014 at 10 am at Chippenham. The Inquiry is set to last three days of which the last day is usually the site visit.

Members of the public may attend the first two days and may, at the discretion of the presiding inspector, be invited to participate beyond the usual few minutes of allocated time for making a statement. For instance, both myself and Councillor Jacqui Lay participated extensively during the Widham Farm Appeal, particularly in cross-examining the representatives acting on behalf of the appellant.

Both parties will issue their Statement of Case usually about four weeks before the Inquiry. At that stage it will be clear how the appellant (Wainhomes) and the planning authority (Wiltshire Council) will defend their respective positions. Also at that stage it will be worth writing a letter or email even if one is planning to attend in person. More details in due course.
