Smells are notoriously difficult to pinpoint with any certainty.
There certainly seems to be a periodic yet pungent one somewhere around Purton.
If you notice a smell that is not obviously a countryside smell do the following:
1. Call the Environment Agency on 0800 807060 and report it
2. Send an email to Mrs Jacqui Lay, our Unitary Councillor, Jacqui.Lay@wiltshire.gov.uk
3. Send an email to the Parish Council, clerk@purtonpc.eclipse.co.uk
On a separate note, some may be surprised to learn from Wiltshire Council Weekly Planning Applications that Widham Farm is back on the list with its 50 houses. Fortunately it was a clerical error. There are no plans for Widham Farm again…. at least not yet.
