Just in…
A local inquiry is to be held to decide if a new footpath is to be created at the top of Hoggs Lane, to be known as Footpath 161. There is a well-worn track from the top of Hoggs Lane across to Upper Pavenhill and a campaign was launched some while ago to formalise this as a footpath. Following representations to Wiltshire Council, the Council sent the documentation to the Secretary of State recommending that the footpath be formalised. The Planning Inspectorate is to convene a local inquiry to hear the arguments for and against before a decision is made.
There is no date set yet for the hearing though it is likely to be in the new year…..watch this space.
