“Land at Purton Road” is out on the edge of the parish, near Ridgeway Farm. After a tortuous process with various appeals, an Inspector has approved 79 houses. I guess if one keeps appealing eventually an inspector will turn up who has a different view from the previous one. But it was strange. In the Decision, neither our Councillor, Jacqui Lay, nor myself (speaking on behalf of the Parish Council) who were objecting were even recorded as speaking, which is unusual.
Anyway, this coming year there will be a lot about the new Neighbourhood Plan which is being developed now (see Purton Magazine). This Plan will be much tighter to avoid developers finding chinks in the Plan.
