Well, the storm has come a little bit faster than anticipated. Persimmons Homes has lodged an appeal against Wiltshire Council who had, earlier, refused their application for 34 houses off Restrop Road. The place, date and time for the appeal is still to be announced.
These developers do not seem to learn that if they tried to work with local people, rather than put up a perfunctory “exhibition”, they could be pleasantly surprised. But no, it seems they cannot be bothered to work with the Neighbourhood Planning process and just go their own way. So be it…
The exact grounds for the appeal are being found out though we do know that the application was for houses outside the settlement boundary when it was refused by Wiltshire Council and in the new proposed settlement boundary the plot is still outside.
