It has been about a year since Wiltshire Council refused an application by Hills at Mopes Lane to increase the size of the composting facility. Well, the application is back with a plan to manage the smell, a statement on the extra HGV traffic, though no additional jobs. More later, once these documents have been assessed.

Well, the storm has come a little bit faster than anticipated. Persimmons Homes has lodged an appeal against Wiltshire Council who had, earlier, refused their application for 34 houses off Restrop Road. The place, date and time for the appeal is still to be announced. These developers do not seem to learn that if they tried to work with local people, rather than put up a perfunctory “exhibition”, they could be pleasantly surprised.
